I believe in economic justice & financial accessibility

Here’s some of how that shows up in my business:

Sliding Scale Funding Model

My coworking group (and all workshops) operate on a shame-free sliding scale. This allows each member to support from within their means and gives those with more class privilege the chance to supplement payments for folks on the lower end of the scale.

No fee payment plans

Have you ever noticed that online payment plans are almost always more expensive than the one-time payment option? Why is it okay to charge someone more because they aren't wealthy enough to pay in full upfront? This feels unjust to me, so I don’t do it.

Monthly Reparations

10% of my salary as a tiny biz owner is given directly to Black and Indigenous individuals and organizations. I believe that one way for white people like me to divest from white supremacy is through redistribution of wealth, and this is something I practice every month.

Pay-What-You-Can Workbooks

Any workbooks I create are always available in pay-what-you-can format where you are able to choose your own price to best fit your circumstances. There is also an option to receive a free copy if you cannot afford to pay, no questions asked!

A note on additional accessibility:

  • All of my Zoom gatherings, workshops, and coworking sessions have live transcription/closed captions available

  • Every episode of The Pop-Up Pod has a full transcript available

  • Real Talk Radio podcast episodes from fall 2020 until the show wrapped in July 2021 have full transcripts available (all episodes from 2015 through summer 2020 do not, because it was not within my financial means to do so at that time)

  • All of my work (and accompanying transcripts) are in English

  • It is important to me that all in-person retreats and gatherings be hosted at a location that can accommodate folks of many different bodies and abilities; please always feel free to discuss your needs with me in advance!

  • I am very open to continued learning, growth, and changes in this realm, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to me at any time and share what I could do to make my work more accessible to you.
